dwyer

Hello! Hope everyone is having some nice post-holiday days! We are full on leftovers, enjoying being snowed in, and even though I am battling a cold- I am happy to be snuggled in at home for a while. I am drinking lots of tea, trying to cross some things off the wedding to do list, and doing some major blog stalking.
The other day I found dwyer on etsy, and this is a shop after my own heart. These little gold teepees? So sweet. I also adore the arrows and the gingham patterned interiors on these totes. Normally I am not big on using a printed tote as an everyday purse, I think it is a little juvenile and clashes easily with outfits, BUT I find plenty of times to use a tote as a secondary bag. Whether for some extra craft supplies, travel needs, teacher homework bag, or lugging groceries; I am happy to have some sweet hand-painted totes for filling as you run out the door.

party on wayne

New in the shop, colorful party garlands. I made these to chase the dreary winter blues away and they have certainly done the trick for me. While I love the neutrals of fall and winter, I needed a change. I will be making some more of these and listing in the shop soon.

4.16.11

After many drafts and long hours passing the macbook back and forth, we finally came up with our save the date designs. To save on money we decided not to do fancy magnets, photobooth prints, or the temporary tattoos I originally wanted. Instead we came up with a simple, colorful design that we printed two-sided on card stock in the postcard dimensions. Postcard stamps are much more affordable and I hope our friends and family will like receiving some snail mail. I love the simple NC and hearts design that the mister came up with for the address side of the cards. I think that logo will make it's way into other aspects of our wedding for sure.

gift guide: sparkles and lace

My second gift guide is far from the first. This one is inspired by my younger sister who couldn't be more different than my older. That's why I love them both so dearly. My younger sister loves romantic clothing with ruffles and sparkle, baking the most delicious sweets, adding glitter to crafts, and giving of her time to help others wherever she can. Here are my picks inspired by her.
This sweetest Martha Stewart doily wreath plus the diy instructions to make it for her myself,
A shimmery polish in a rosy hue,
some bling for her shoes,
and finally, some proper ruffles to keep her warm.
