I have to admit that I was skeptical to visit Lauren Conrad's new beauty blog, The Beauty Dept. I was unsure if the MTV pretty girl (and friends) could pull off real style and writing, but guys, I was impressed! Style by the super talented Bri of DesignLoveFest (one of my favorite daily reads) this site is lovely to look at and does have some really fun styling and beauty tips. And that awesome hair? Well that is LC herself- you have come a long way from Laguna Beach, girl.

i love lucy

I am so inspired by this girls style. So perfectly accessorized and effortless at the same time. And what I love about looking through her blog is that there are really only a handful (or small NY closet full) of pieces she is rotating between, not a million gifted designer pieces like some fashion bloggers whose style may be great but is undeniably out of reach. Well done, Lucy, well done.

So today realized that I must have been living under a rock all this time because a customer from my shop just introduced me to color collective. oh. my. god. I have never seen such beauty! It is genius and it makes me want to run into my studio and start painting or sewing garlands! Thank you Erica for the tip!

Lots of good posts on the web this week, so good that I need not make my own today! I will just share with you some of the fun things I have been reading and wanting.
Grace, over at design*sponge introduced us to the most wonderful etsy shop I have ever seen. Hearts and doilies and twine, oh my! All at Knot and Bow. Swoon. I literally told my fiancee "I want to live here".
sfgirlbybay, Victoria, shared some of the loveliest teepees that make me long for warmer days.
And lastly, Green Wedding Shoes featured that most gorgeous winter wonderland wedding shoot. I am sure I missed some of the really good stuff that was out there this week as well as these, please do share!
