pretty pairings- double time

As I was pulling images for this peach & mint inspired pretty pairings post, I realized I had way too many pretties in this color scheme to just choose two.  So here are four lovely items in some fresh pastels.  Enjoy!

noble town vintage

Gorgeous work from Noble Town Vintage. In their words "jewelry made up of vintage brass findings and raw gemstones with geometric and southwest influences." Simply wonderful.

magnus

I was just telling Jessica yesterday that I have been on this hunt locally for good jewelry. Something simple and wearable everyday that includes no birds charms (I have plenty) and is modern and original (I also have more than enough vintage inspired wares). SO you can imagine my delight when I stumbled upon this today: the magnus necklace on stone&honey. This necklace is so so perfect in two ways. First, it is exactly what I have been looking for in terms of style- and I really lean more towards gold jewelry over silver. Second, Magnus was the name of my late bunny who we recently lost. You may be a bit confused, as we always referred to Magnus as Maggie, but he was indeed a little boy bunny. Either way, I would so love to wear this necklace as a tribute to my sweet rabbit babe and feel super stylish while doing so.

wednesday wish list

I think it has been a while since I did a Wednesday Wish List, mostly because I am trying to be on a strict shopping diet. Rules of this diet include:
  • Groceries and home needs are ok
  • New craft supplies allowed only if I am selling more than I am buying
  • No new clothing (unless second-hand or vintage)
  • Home renovation supplies will come out of what I have been saving for a while (for kitchen and bathroom)
  • I may accept gifts (haha, fedora I need for summer<--- got that Justin??)
However, while I am on this shopping diet- online window shopping is perfectly ok. And in that case, I want I want I waaaaant one of these absolutely perfect for me, for you necklaces. They are reminiscent of those braided friendship bracelets we all made as kids and I adore them. Good news is, I won't be able to slip up and order one because they are currently all sold out- darn! But I do have a 5-year anniversary coming up if someone needs gift ideas...
On another note, after an afternoon tear-fueled pity party yesterday, I found this article and it's advice incredibly uplifting and helpful.

etsy faves: Three Blue Bee

Recently found these adorable crocheted beads on Three Blue Bee's etsy shop. They are soft and sweet and exactly what I want to make my summer necklaces out of on a long piece of leather or twine. They actually remind me a lot of these and they are super affordable so I could definitely fashion something up. Sister- are you getting this? Jewelry time soon!
And these precious handmade bags they come in make them even more irresistible.

PS- new products in the Heart&Craft shop this weekend!

back to reality

Well I am back from a week of relaxation, professional development, long walks, and lot's of food. It was a much needed break and I feel really rejuvenated, even going back to work! The shop is doing well, I need to get back into the studio and get some items made, and the weather here is incredible right now. Flowers, herbs, and veggies are all peeking their little heads out and soon we will be eating out of our backyard! I have not yet edited photos from my trip so until I do, here is some textile jewelry I have had my eye on lately, from the etsy shop kjoo. I am already thinking about how I can fashion up something like this of my own this weekend. I'll keep you updated.

Holidate

A month or so back I posted on the mother/daughter team behind the fabulous line of accessories known as Old Soul New Heart. Well they came out with a holiday 09 line a few weeks ago and it is just too good to not share! Of course Shea looks beautiful and the clothes and styling in this shoot is perfection. Check out the full line in their shop.

It's been a great holiday so far. No work, been to the gym, out to lunch with a friend, crafting this afternoon, and I'll be off to the pottery studio tonight. Pretty good day if you ask me. Just wish the mister was here to enjoy it with me.

Oh and I have been working on my own line of holiday 09 gifts and accessories (under the Heart and Craft name, of course) and now I am debating whether to try and launch an etsy shop before the holiday season really kicks off, or to just sell everything in a local jewelry/gift shop. I really want to do the etsy store but just don't want to rush it and have something I am not 100% happy with, on the other hand, a good deadline is the only thing that may get my butt in gear to really do it. Ideas?

wednesday wish list

So sorry, but I have no idea where I found this ring. It has been on my wish list for so long now I can't remember. That said, I have kind of given up hope of finding this exact ring, but I would love to find something close to it- especially of the double-finger variety. The search continues...
